Union Ministers Receive UNOPS-Asia Region Regional Director

Union Ministers Receive the Delegation led by Regional Director of Bangkok-based United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) of Asian Region

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing and Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win received Mr. Sanjay Mathur, Regional Director of Bangkok-based United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) of Asian Region at their respective Ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 15 and 16 December.

• During the meeting between Union Minister for Foreign affairs and Mr. Sanjay Mathur, they discussed matters relating to existing and further cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and UNOPS.
• At the meeting between Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Mr. Sanjay Mathur, they discussed matters relating to further cooperation between Myanmar and UNOPS in the future.
• At the meeting between Union Minister for International Cooperation, they discussed matters to facilitate the process of existing cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and UNOPS.
• At the meeting between Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win and Mr. Sanjay Mathur, they discussed matters pertaining to increased cooperation between the Ministry of Health and UNOPS in providing healthcare services, providing healthcare services with policies, objectives and strategies of the Ministry of Health, and fight against AIDS, STD, TB and malaria with the use of the global fund and access to health fund managed by UNOPS.

Present at the meetings were the Deputy Ministers, the director-generals and officials, it is reported.
