Union Minister Dr. Htay Aung Receives Commercial Director of Russia-based Yi Ling Tourism Co.Ltd

The Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung received Mr. Kosinkov Evgeny, Commer­cial Director of Russia-based Yi Ling Tourism Co.Ltd at the Nilar Hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 2 December.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the following points:

• Mr. Kosinkov Evgeny called for relaxation on the insurance of Myanmar as Russian travellers make tours by buying interna­tional insurance and highlight­ed the ongoing talks with My­anmar International Airways to operate flights for travellers from Russia, and invitation can be made to visit more tourists if the country facilitates the monetary sector.
• The Union Minister said there were instances as the Italian Airways operated flight from Milan to Phuket by stopping over in Myanmar pre­viously. Now, it is reported that proper arrangements are underway by the MAI. He also added to negotiate with the department concerned re­garding travel insurance of tourists and make arrangement for spending money of travellers. He continued that the country is also cooperating in the tourism industry as the bilateral relationship between Myanmar and Russia is moving into a higher gear, and the ministry will coordinate necessary measures.

Also present at the meeting were directors-general and in-charges from departments, it is reported.
