The Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines, alternate chairmanship for 2022, held the 19th Annual Meeting of Southeast Asia National Human Rights Institutions Forum (SEANF) in Zamboanga in the Philippines on 28 and 29 November in a hybrid format. Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Chairman U Hla Myint, Vice Chairperson, commission members and officials joined virtually the event.
During the meeting, the officials from Myanmar National Human Rights Commission discussed the activities of the commission after the first working group meeting of forum and progresses, and implementation of the commission concerning the second point of the prioritized issues of Strategic Plan 2022-2026 of the forum “promoting and protecting human rights in business”.
After the meeting, the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines handed over the 2023 Chairmanship to the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand, it is reported.
