First Joint Committee Meeting of Myanmar-Russia Joint Anti-Terrorist Committee Held

The Myanmar-Russia Joint Anti-Terrorist Committee held its first joint meeting at Hilton Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on 30 November. The meeting was attended by Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and committee members senior military officers from Myanmar Armed Forces, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich and committee members senior officers from Russian Armed Forces.

During the meeting, the co-chairs of the first Myanmar-Russia Joint Anti-Terrorist Committee Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich made greeting speeches respectively. Then, both sides frankly exchanged views on the matters relating to cooperation in taking Myanmar-Russia Anti-Terrorist measures, it is reported.
