On 1 November 2022, two terrorists arrived at Pazuntaung railway station in Taung Nyunt Gyi ward of Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township and robbed the station clerk U Thein Win Tun at gunpoint and forcibly took the sum of over 20 million kyats that are rental for shops and train fares.
Responding that robbery case, the combined security force arrested three perpetrators of Thurein Tun (aka) Phoe Thar, Ei Ei Zaw and Wai Lin Aung, who were involved in robbery case of Pazuntaung station office, at a tea house in Yedashe ward of Bahan Township on 22 November. According to their confessions, the security force arrested two other linked perpetrators of Ye Yint Khant and Tun Lin Aung again and the security force seized three pistol guns, one revolver, six magazines, 152 bullet rounds, one silencer, 33 hand-grenades, one claymore anti-personnel mine, 16 TNT cartridges, 100 detonators, and other explosive related materials, alongside them.
According to their confessions,
- With the connection of the perpetrator Arr Nyi (still at large), Thurein Tun and Ye Yint Khant conducted one month-long terrorist bombing course in the KNLA Brigade (7) area in August 2021. Arr Nyi also delivered arms and weapons to be used in robbery to them through Myawady Town.
- Before the robbery case, a station clerk Than Zaw Oo (he was arrested on 1 November) went to a tea house in advance and gave Thurein Tun and Ye Yint Khant about the information via cell phone that U Thein Win Tun alone was in the office and it was the time to rob him. Tun Lin Aung watched the situation from outside while Thurein Tun and Ye Yint Khant were robbing U Thein Win Tun.
- On 3 July 2022, Thurein Tun and Tun Lin Aung carried out an IED attack on Ward Administration Office in Kyarr Kwat Thit ward of Tamwe Township, leaving one innocent civilian dead and two others injured.
- On 8 August, Tun Lin Aung watched the surrounding situation while Thurein Tun was shooting the pistol at the hundred-household leader U Kyaw Min Han to the death in Kyauk Myoung Gyi (Ashae) ward of Tamwe Township.
- On 10 September, Ye Yint Khant watched the surrounding situation while Thurein Tun and Tun Lin Aung were carrying out one homemade remote mine attack on Banyar Dala Street in Byaing Yeoezin Kwat Thit ward of Tamwe Township.
- On 13 September, Tun Lin Aung watched the surrounding situation while Thurein Tun was shooting the pistol at an innocent civilian to the death at the welfare grocery store in the campus of Pazuntaung railway station in Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township.
Measures will be taken under the law against the arrested perpetrators and it is announced that the entire population is urged to participate in making efforts of community peace and tranquillity the quickest.
