On 22 November, two vehicles carrying 16 people from Thabarwa Meditation Centre in Thanlyin township of Yangon region including two monks, three nuns, seven male devotees and four female devotees left Kawthaung for Dawei township. When they arrived near the intersection of Kade village in Palaw township, PDF terrorists opened fire at them using small arms. The 25-year-old monk, Baddanta Zanaka, passed away on the spot with bullet wounds on his head and three innocent people were injured in the motiveless attack.
The terrorists of political extremism are carrying out acts of terrorism such as destroying non-military targets of the State-owned and private-owned buildings, and private property, killings of Buddhist monks and innocent people for no reason, blowing up roads and bridges across the country and setting mines and firing at passenger busses using small arms. Therefore, the entire population is disgusted by the terrorists and their acts of terrorism.
Security personnel are taking necessary measures where the above-mentioned incident occurred, it is reported.
