The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team onboard including military consultants, specialists, doctors and nurses provided healthcare services to local people in villages and townships of Ayeyarwady region as follows:
- From 16 to 19 November, the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team provided healthcare services to 4,287 local people in Ngaputaw township of Ayeyarwady region;
- On 20 and 21 November, the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team provided healthcare services to 1,528 local people in Pathein township of Ayeyarwady region;
5,815 local patients in total including 2,429 patients who need medical treatments, 195 patients who need surgical operations, 212 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 317 patients with pediatric diseases, 978 patients with orthopedic diseases, 238 patients with ENT related diseases, 977 patients with optical diseases and 436 patients with dental and oral diseases were given necessary medical treatments.
47 eye patients and 10 patients who need minor operations were provided necessary surgical operations. Moreover, diagnoses and treatments were also provided to 16 patients who need to take X-ray scans, 216 ultrasound scanning patients, 268 cardiologic patients undergoing ECG procedures and 176 patients who need to receive laboratory tests.
They also provided arrangements for the patients to receive medical treatment at the nearest military hospitals. Moreover, it is reported that a pregnant woman was able to give birth a baby successfully onboard by Caesarean section and the baby was born as the seventeenth child during that trip.
