A coordination meeting on the projects under implementation under Myanmar-India Memorandum of Understanding-MoU was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 18 November.
The meeting was attended by the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khaing and first secretary Mr. Jitendra Rawat and officials from Indian Embassy to Myanmar.
During the meeting, first secretary Mr. Jitendra Rawat from Indian Embassy stated that India is supporting financial assistance for projects in Myanmar under MoU and Myanmar is required to be transparent particularly in using the funds for the projects in line with rules and regulations and also to include the projects for enhancing capabilities. Moreover, the first secretary also said that he will promptly report to the Indian Government once he receives the detailed facts about the projects following the meeting.
The attendees of the meeting reportedly discussed on their relevant sectors.
