Myanmar Delegation led by Union Ministers U Thaung Han and Dr Myo Thein Kyaw Visit Universities and Nuclear Power Plant in Moscow and Hold Talks for Cooperation

Accompanied by Myanmar ambassador to Russian Federation U Lwin Oo and officials, the Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and the Union Min­ister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, currently in the Russian Federation, studied Obninsk University, Rosatom Technical Academy and Ob­ninsk Nuclear Power Plant, the world’s first nuclear power plant, in Moscow on 15 November. They also visited Renera battery production (Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Systems) company under the Rosatom on 16 November.

On 15 November, the Myanmar delega­tion led by the Union Ministers visited the Obninsk Uni­versity and Rosatom Techni­cal Academy and then, observed theoretical and practical teaching to scholarship students from 68 countries; cooperation with international organizations; laboratories and 3D technology explanation of construction steps of power plant. Afterwards, the Myanmar del­egation observed the Obninsk Nuclear Power Plant which is the world’s first nuclear power plant in Kaluga.

Union Ministers met Natalia G. Leonteva, Director of Business Develop­ment of RENERA Company, and discussed in detail about matters, including possibili­ty of cooperation and investment in the electrical and industrial works that are currently being carried out for the development of Myanmar, it is reported.
