The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team onboard including military medical specialists, doctors and nurses provided healthcare services to local people in villages and townships of Yangon and Ayeyarwady regions as follows:
- On 6 November, the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team provided healthcare services to local people in Cocokyun township, Pali Pale Island, Hainggyikyun township, and other villages and townships along the Irrawaddy River side;
- On 9 and 10 November, the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team provided healthcare services to local people in Hainggyikyun township of Ayeyarwady region;
- On 13 and 14 November, the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team provided healthcare services to local people in Ngaputaw township in Ayeyawady region.
In total 4,125 local patients including 1,279 patients who need medical treatments, 275 patients who need surgical operations, 203 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 197 patients with pediatric diseases, 802 patients with orthopedic diseases, 191 patients with ENT related diseases, 984 patients with eye diseases and 194 patients with dental and oral diseases were given necessary medical treatments.
One patient who needs major surgical operation, 30 patients who need optical treatment and two patients who need minor surgery were provided necessary surgical operations. Moreover, diagnoses and treatments were also provided to 15 patients who need to take X-ray scans, 161 ultrasound scanning patients, 163 cardiologic patients undergoing ECG procedures and 224 patients who need to receive laboratory tests.
Necessary arrangements were provided to the patients to receive medical treatment at the nearest military hospitals. Officers, other ranks and their family members from regional naval base command provided lunch boxes and nutritious food to locals who received medical treatment, it is reported.
