Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) Provides Healthcare Services to Locals in Cocokyun, Hainggyikyun and Nga Pu Taw Townships

The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team onboard provided healthcare services to local people in Yangon region, Cocokyun township, Pali Pale Island, Hainggyikyun, villages and townships along the Irrawaddy River on 6 November; local people in Hainggyikyun township of Ayeyarwady region 9 and 10 November; and local people in Nga Pu Taw township in Ayeyawady region on 13 November. 2,691 local patients in total including 837 patients who need medical treatments, 206 patients who need surgical operations, 145 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 140 patients with pediatric diseases, 424 patients with orthopedic diseases, 119 patients with ENT related diseases, 703 patients with eye diseases and 117 patients with dental and oral diseases were given necessary medical treatments.

One patient who needs major surgical operation, 30 eye patients and two patients who need general surgery were provided necessary surgical operations. Moreover, diagnoses and treatments were also provided to 12 patients who need to take X-ray scans, 103 ultrasound scanning patients, 136 cardiologic patients undergoing ECG procedures, 171 patients who need to receive laboratory tests. They also provided arrangements for the patients to receive medical treatment at the nearest military hospitals. Officers, other ranks and their family members from regional naval base command provided lunch boxes and nutritious food to locals who received medical treatment, it is reported.
