The delegation led by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung arriving in Luang Prabang of Laos for the 19th ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference (19th AACC) met with Laos Air Chief Brigadier General Khamlek Sengphachanh, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif Bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, and Air Chief Marshal Alongkorn Vannarot of Thailand separately on 3 November. During the meetings, they discussed closer cooperation between air forces of their nations for humanitarian assistance, natural disaster preventive measures and combatting terrorism.
On 4 November, Myanmar delegates attended the 19th AACC which was held at Luang Prabang View hotel in Luang Prabang City. During the meeting, the ASEAN Air Chiefs discussed the topic of “Together for Peace and Stability of ASEAN”, and confirmed and signed the agreement letters decided at the meeting.
After the meeting, Laos Air Chief transferred the ASEAN Air Chief Conference Chairmanship for the 20th AACC 2023 which will be hosted by Myanmar to Commander-in-Chief (Air).
The delegation led by the Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung participated in the 19th ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference (19th AACC) which was hosted by Laos. They arrived back at Yangon International Airport by flight in the evening of 6 November and were welcomed by senior military officers, it is reported.
