The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by officials, met the officers, other ranks and their families from Dawei Station of Coastal Region Command on 4 November. During the meeting, the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services delivered a speech as follows:
- The Tatmadaw’s main duty is national defence. As it is now shouldering the State duties, the Tatmadaw is also working for national peace and stability and development.
- All countries are striving for improvement of their defence capabilities and Myanmar also needs to make relentless efforts to enhance defence capability.
- Tatmadaw has fulfilled the basic needs of military personnel in individuals to have an appropriate lifestyle in conformity with their designations.
- The success of battalion-owned farming will provide food and individual-scale farming will also contribute to supports for food supply as a means.
- Tatmadaw members need to read literature for widening their scope of knowledge and encourage their offspring to learn education.
- Tatmadaw members need to correctly and dutifully discharge their assigned duties. They also need to have systematic smart lifestyles and high capabilities to be able to uplift the prestige of Tatmadaw.
Then, the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services presented foodstuffs to the officers, other ranks and their families and the wife of the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the cash award for the station maternal and child welfare association through the officials.
Later, the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, and party proceeded to local military hospital in Dawei, comforted officers, other ranks and families receiving medical treatments at the local military hospital, and presented foodstuffs to them. They then paid homage to Lawkamarazein Buddha Image and presented cash donations to members of the pagoda board of trustees for the all-round renovation of the pagoda.
