Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony for 2022 of State Administration Council and 12th Maha Communal Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony of Families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) Held

The Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony for 2022 of the State Administration Council (SAC) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the 12^th Maha Communal Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony of Families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) were separately held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory on 2 and 3 November. The ceremonies were attended by the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister Senior General and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla together with Vice-Chairman of the SAC Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, council members and their wives, Union ministers and their wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials.

The Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony for 2022 of the SAC was graced by the 27 venerable Sayadaws led by Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC) Presiding Nayaka of Bhamo Monastery while the 12^th Maha Communal Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony of Families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) was graced by the 27 venerable Sayadaws led by Ovadacariya Sayadaw of Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees. The Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister and party donated Kathina robes and alms to the Presiding Sayadaws, and offered day meals to members of the Sangha.

This Kathina robe-offering ceremony for 2022 donated 44 “Padethabin” structures and K73,643,250. So, the total value of donations amounted to K112,965,850. In addition to, this 12^th Maha Communal Kathina Robe-offering Ceremony of Families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) donated 84 “Padethabin” structures worth K171.3 million.
