Some villagers, who do not accept terrorists’ acts of violence, secretly provided security forces the information tip-off that some 80 terrorists comprising KIA members and so-called PDF terrorists were gathering at the Ingar village on 4 January for committing terrorist acts in Pinlebu township of Sagaing region. Therefore, security forces raided the location of terrorists’ assembly and exchanged fire with them making the terrorists retreat to the north of the village in disorder.
Three homemade guns, one radio-communication set, one walkie talkie device and other related materials used in the activities of explosions were seized in the incident.
As terrorists are committing acts of violence in some villages, security forces are intensifying security works to ensure local people live peacefully. In this regard, people are urged to report secretly on terrorists’ movements in the village and make a collaborative effort for a peaceful community.
Security forces members continued necessary security measures in the village and are working to provide required assistance and healthcare support for some 179 villagers who are not getting involved in terrorist acts.
