Terrorist Groups Bomb Electric Poles by taking Security Personnel by Surprise

In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, State-owned buildings, hospitals, schools, residential houses, banks, departmental offices and telecommunication towers and transmission towers.

  • Security personnel were provided information on 26 October that a PDF terrorist group (under investigation of number of terrorists) bombed an electric pole ranges in 66,000 Volt near the Pyaung Khin village of Salin township in Magway region. When security personnel arrived there, they found that a bomb explosion had taken place at the bottom of the pole; and seized one unit of motorcycle battery and a piece of wires. Damage was found at the pole but no power outage was reported.
  • On 28 October, terrorists bombed two concrete electric poles distributing electric power to the Palaw township and villages in Taninthayi region, that are constructed near Kyauk Pazun taung (local name) between Min Htein village and Khamaung Taw village among the poles put into the ground beside the Myeik-Dawei road. Due to the terrorists’ bomb attack, those two electric poles fell down and power outage took place.

Extreme terrorists are carrying out various destructive acts, such as accusing and killing of peaceable civilians, making bombings of public places, telecommunication towers and transmission towers. As those destructive acts inflict the suffering on the public, the people do not accept suffering of terrorist acts and support terrorists. Further, they wish terrorists to be taken legal proceedings.

Concerned authorities are trying to repair the electric poles destroyed and security personnel are continuing to take legal actions against terrorists in accordance with the law.
