Conference on Science and Technology Development - 2022 (CSTD-2022) commenced on 27 October and the closing ceremony was held at Multifunction hall of Higher Education Centre in Defence Services Academy located in Pyin Oo Lwin cantonment on 28 October in line with the guidelines of COVID-19 pandemic.
It was attended by Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, commandants, rectors and officials of Tatmadaw academies, Professors of civilian universities, trainee officers of Master and PhD classes, cadets and the guests while the keynote speakers, rectors and professors of civilian universities who could not attend in person joined via videoconferencing. At the ceremony, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye gave the opening remark. Then, Chief of the General Staff and attendees inspected 23 posters for science and technology that have been displayed at the conference.
During the two-day conference, a total of 123 research papers including four papers by invited Professors were read out and 23 posters were presented. Seven best paper prizes and two best poster prizes were also presented at the conference.
Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye handed over the presents given by State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to rectors, professors and resource persons of papers for reading papers and giving suggestions at the Conference on Science and Technology Development, it is reported.
