Classes of Second Year and above will be Opened on 10 November

A coordination meeting on the opening of universities and degree colleges was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Education on 25 October.

During the meeting, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe highlighted the points as follows:

  • All classes of the second-year and above will be opened on 10 November and the school enrollment will start from 27 October to 18 November including the weekends.
  • First year course will be opened on 21 November and the first-semester exam will be on 9 March 2023 and so there should be fulltime classes.
  • At the Meeting 7/2022 of Union Government on 7 October, State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave a guidance on building a family-like warm relations among the upper and lower-level staff.
  • The rectors, pro-rectors and professors should supervise the daily attendance of demonstrators and tutors to their respective classes. It is necessary to do research related to the subject for the development of their region.
  • The rectors, pro-rectors and professors should inspect the cleanliness and security of the university compounds, departments and classrooms.

Rectors, principals, pro-rectors, professors, heads of management/finance departments, deputy heads of departments, archivists and officials attended the meeting through videoconferencing, it is reported.
