On 24 October, PDF terrorists dropped homemade bombs on a non-military target of Basic Education High school (Chaung Taung) in Kawkareik township of Kayin state, using a drone. Two bombs exploded on new two-storey building constructed for the accommodation of teachers in the school campus and one bomb exploded on a house next to the school, causing the roof of the school damaged and Daw Khin Than Nwe living in her house got shrapnel wounds. She was transported to the public hospital in Kawkareik township for medical treatment.
The intentional violent attack of terrorists on non-military targets of schools and non-combatant targets of teachers and students constitutes acts of terrorism under the provisions of Geneva Conventions and international law. NUG’s subordinate PDF terrorists are attacking schools in various ways as they do not want to see the opening of schools for the future educational quality of the youths. Moreover, they keep on committing violent acts, harming innocent people and civil servants. Therefore, the entire people are disgusted by terrorists and oppose them.
