Security Personnel Clear Mines, for Public Safety, Planted by Terrorists along Hpapun-Kamarmaung Road in Kayin State

Some conscientious locals tip-offed security force members that PDF terrorists, subordinates of NUG had planted IEDs along the Hpapun-Kamarmaung road. Acting on the tip-off, security personnel conducted mine clearance along the road on 30 September and detected 23 homemade Claymore mines made of 5-gallon gas cans, two improvised Claymore mines made of plastic launch-boxes, 17 detonators and other related items. Therefore, security forces seized all of them after deactivating them for public safety.

PDF terrorists are carrying out mine attacks on public roads/bridges and sneaky shootings at travellers and security personnel. Due to such acts of  sabotages by the terrorists, there have been lots of incidents in which some innocent travellers of civilians were killed and injured.

Security personnel are investigating to identify terrorists who committed such violent acts and take legal actions against them. Security force members will take measures continuously for mine clearance, security and stability in that area, it is reported.
