As KNLA Brigade (1) and PDF terrorists who are subordinates of NUG and CRPH fired small arms and support weapons at the Kim Mon Chaung bus terminal of Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Kyaikto town in Mon State on 12 October, three pilgrims were killed and 19 other pilgrims were injured.
In this regard, Interfaith Friendship Organizations in Yangon, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan States; Young Men’s Buddhist Association in Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, Taninthayi Region, Ayeyawaddy Region, Sagaing Region, Bago Region, Nay Pyi Taw Council area, Kachin State, Kayah State, Chin State, Rakhine State, Kayin State, Mon State and Shan State; Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance and Buddhist National Force made their statements respectively that such terrorist attack on pilgrims is an inhumane act; people are saddened by the death of pilgrims; they feel great sympathy and sadness for the bereaved families; they cannot accept at all and strongly condemn such acts of terrorism.
