Measures Taken to Ensure Regular Import of Fuel Oil for the Sufficiency of Domestic Consumption

Supervisory Committee of Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil has regularly imported fuel oil as per types. In this regard, on 10 October, two fuel tankers carried out unloading 0.16 million gallons of 92 Ron diesel and 2.80 million gallons of premium diesel at the terminals in Thilawa Port of Yangon region. Moreover, two other fuel tankers carrying 4.76 million gallons of premium diesel and 1.6 million gallons of diesels will reportedly dock soon. Therefore, the imported fuel oil will ensure the sufficiency of domestic fuel oil consumption.

The fuel oils are being distributed in time to the company-owned and private-owned petrol stations in respective regions and states to ensure no fuel shortage. However, a fuel-bowser transporting fuel oil to ‘Myaung’ petrol station in Monywa township was stopped by PDF terrorists on Myaung-Payainma road. The terrorists then abducted the fuel bowser, driver and second-driver, it is reported.

As the PDF terrorists carried out such terrorist attacks against fuel oil transportation so as to disrupt the travelling of people, security force members taken necessary security measures, it is reported.
