On 2 October, the immigration officer U Tun Aung Hlaing from Thabeikkyin Township of Mandalay Region and three officials departed from the Immigration Office of Mandalay Region to take seven Chinese people: Pan Han Bing, 25, Lin Zhen Fen, 25, Yang Jun Feng, 32, Liu Fei Feng, 25, Sheng Bao, 24, Yan Bin, 22, and Zhouli, 23, who were deported, to the Immigration Office in Lashio Township.
In this regard, while they were reaching on the Mandalay-Lashio Union road near Lawlkhaw village in Kyaukme Township of Shan State (North), three armed insurgents (under scrutiny) with motorcycle arrived at them. Meanwhile, they stopped the vehicle carried those persons and abducted them with vehicle into the forest. But, U Tun Aung Hlaing and three officials except seven Chinese people were released after taking them into the forest.
Therefore, the security force members are taking necessary measures to identify and arrest those armed insurgents who abducted seven Chinese people who were deported, and to carry out rescue tasks for the said Chinese people in accordance with security procedures, it is reported.
