CRPH, NUG declared as terrorist groups and their affiliates are committing various kinds of crimes such as targeted killings of innocent civilians including civil servants, burning down and blowing up private-owned buildings with the intent to disrupt the State peace and stability by sending youths to the areas of ethnic armed organizations-EAOs to receive training for terrorist bombing attacks.
On 2 October 2022, security personnel inspected the Wingroad type silver-colored vehicle driven by Hlaing Min Tun at Oriental toll-plaza. The vehicle was leaving Mandalay city for Kyaukmae town. During the inspection, security personnel managed to arrest 10 suspects who were going to attend training for terrorist bombing attacks in the area of TNLA terrorist insurgent group. The suspects were identified as Nyi Nyi Tun, Thant Zin Tun, Hein Min Oo, Htet Paing Lin, Myo Myint Myat, Kyaw Zin Htet, Sai Htet Aung, Aung Zaw Hein, Wai Yan Oo and Sanay Tun.
According to the confessions of the arrested suspects,
- The suspect Kaylar, who made arrangements to send trainees to EAOs’ areas, was arrested at the car depot located in No. (8) ward of Kyaukmae township.
- The two arrested suspects had joined PDF terrorist group led by suspect Than Win Aung (aka) Paw Gyi (at large) in Poe Kone village of Budalin township and attended terrorist bombing training for 10 days.
- The driver Hlaing Min Tun had received K300,000 from Than Win Aung (aka) Paw Gyi for sending 10 arrested suspects from Mandalay to Kyaukmae township.
- It was also found out that when the suspects arrived at Kyaukmae township, they would be transported to Totsan village of Kyaukmae via suspect Kaylar to attend training for terrorist bombing attack.
Therefore, it is reported that necessary measures will be taken to identify and arrest the suspects who would attend training for terrorist bombing in the areas of Ethnic Armed Organizations-EAOs, others who made arrangements for them and relevant accomplices.
