Installation of Polycarbonate round the Sacred Relic Hair Chamber of Botahtaung Pagoda and 2022 China-Myanmar Friendship Educational Outstanding Award Giving Ceremonies Held

The installation of glass security door at the entrance and exit of the sacred relic hair chamber and Polycarbonate round the chamber of the pagoda, and the 2022 China-Myanmar Friendship Educational Outstanding Award Giving ceremonies were held at the Sar Oo Thwin prayer hall of Botahtaung Kyaik De Att Sandawoo Pagoda and the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon) respectively on 26 September.

During the ceremonies,

• Chinese Ambassador Mr. Chen Hai said China-Myanmar Buddhist cultural exchange improves the China-Myanmar relations in successive eras and the installation of glass security in the chamber will lengthen the religious activities of the two countries.
• Then, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko said the country will make efforts to ensure the propagation of religion, Sasana and culture between the two countries maintaining the Pauk-Phaw relationship.
• Union minister said the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar awarded the 55 students who are attending the universities of culture and arts and state high school of fine arts under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. Such doing supports to produce the talented young people for the development of the culture and fine arts of Myanmar and strengthen the bilateral ties.
• Then, the Chinese ambassador said it is the very first China-Myanmar Friendship Educational Outstanding Award for Myanmar students majoring in culture and arts. It will be the important strength to promote the China-Myanmar Pauk-Phaw relationship.

Afterwards, Union minister, the Chinese ambassador, and the Chinese cultural attaché presented awards to the outstanding students and the ceremony was closed.
