PDF terrorists Abducted Two Monks After Accusing them of Being Informants to Government/ ‘Dalans’ in Sagaing Region

Under the guidance of NUG, PDF terrorists with the ideology of ‘everyone who differ from my attitude is my enemy’ are committing the brutal killings of innocent civilians by using arms. In addition, the terrorists are also doing the sorrowful acts such as violent and bomb attacks against Buddha Sasana buildings sacred by Buddhist Myanmar people as well as abducting and killing monks for no reasons. In this regard –

• On 23 September, the abbot monk U Ponyya Thiri, 37, (18 years of monkhood) from “Yinn” monastery, Wetlet township of Sagaing region left for Monya to take medical treatments there by a car owned by the monastery with driver Mg Htet Myat Naing, 20, the village resident. On the way, PDF terrorists stopped the car and abducted the monk along with the car after accusing him of being an informant to Government or ‘Dalan’ though the driver was released.
• Similarly, while the abbot monk U Thawbana, 53 (33 years of monkhood) was together with his brother U Nyo Maung, 78 and driver U Kyaw Htun Oo,40 in Shweinn Gyi monastery in Kantbalu township, around 60 PDF terrorists arrived and abducted all of them with a vehicle belonging to the monastery after accusing them of being an informant to Government or ‘Dalan’.

As the result of violent killings of the terrorists for no reason, a total of 56 monks and a nun were dead across the country. It is reported that local security forces continue necessary actions as per security procedures to evacuate the two monks abducted by terrorists.
