On 21 September, PDF terrorist groups blew up Hnin Sone reinforced concrete bridge (1/185) 120 ft in length and 24 ft in width at the location on Lamine-Taungbon-Thaungbyin-Arutaung Road between the mileposts 84/0 and 84/5 near a stone cutting site of Hnin Sone village in Ye Township, Mon State. The blast damaged about 10 ft on the floor on the right side of the bridge. Although motor cycles and small vehicles can still pass through the bridge, heavy vehicles cannot, it is reported.

Terrorists of political extremists, who tend to destroy State-owned and privately-owned buildings as well as public property, are now wantonly destroying the transportation networks which plays a major role in the development of the country. As such doings cause transportation problems for the public and also threat people lives, people are denouncing such terrorists’ destructive acts.

Local authorities concerned are working to repair the damaged bridge and security personnel are continuing to apprehend and take legal actions against the terrorists, it is reported.
