A Townace passenger car with four male and one female passenger onboard leaving Kawthaung town for Dawai township encountered an IED attack by PDF terrorists on 20 September. The car was driven by Aung Htay (aka) Min Min with a conductor Zaw Lwin and attacked between the mileposts 102 and 103 on Dawai-Myeik road. The attack left the car damaged a little and the driver and a female passenger Khat Khat Hlaing injured.

With certain intentions to injure innocent civilians living in peaceful environment as well as security personnel doing their duties for law enforcement, PDF terrorists are carrying out terrorist bombing attacks with the instigations behind. In addition, the terrorists are also committing motiveless bomb attacks on the private and passenger cars on public roads that lead to the heavy casualties of innocent civilians.

Security personnel are taking necessary actions to ensure the safe travels of people and also identify and arrest the terrorists who had attacked the passenger car in the above-mentioned incident.
