As the people who received COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses have the lesser chance of infection and death, the Ministry of Health issued public announcement urging people to receive COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses on 13 September.

According to the findings regarding the vaccination rate of COVID-19 patients between 28 January 2022 and 7 September 2022 of the Ministry of Health, 80 percent of patients have not been vaccinated at all, 15.9 percent receive first doses, four percent have been fully vaccinated and 0.1 percent complete the booster shots.
According to the findings regarding the death rate of COVID-19 patients who have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 between 28 January 2022 and 7 September 2022 in Myanmar, 84.1 percent of COVID-19 patients had not been vaccinated at all, 14.4 percent had been fully vaccinated and 1.5 percent received the booster doses.
Therefore, according to the findings regarding the vaccination rate of COVID-19 patients and infection/death rate of COVID-19 patients, the Ministry of Health studied the people who received COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses have the lesser chance of infection and death. Hence, people are urged to follow COVID-19 rules, systematically wear face masks and receive COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses through village/ward administration offices.
