Coordination Meeting 1/2022 of Working Committee on cooperation with UN Agencies and International Organizations under Central Committee on Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development Held

The coordination meeting 1/2022 of the Work­ing Committee on the cooperation with the United Nations Agencies and International Organizations under the Central Committee on Rakhine state’s peace, stability and development was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on 8 September.

During the meeting, the Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin, in his capacity as Chairman of the Working Committee for the coop­eration with UN Agencies and International Organizations highlighted the following points:

  • The office of State Ad­ministration Council has formed the Central Committee on Rakh­ine state’s peace, stability and development, Coordination Com­mittee and four Working Com­mittees with the aim to promote Rakhine state’s peace, stability and development.
  • The working committee is imple­menting further works to prove tan­gible results at the international arena.
  • It is important to effectively carry out respective activities for the actual improvement of social lives of communities, including ethnic people in Rakhine State.

Afterwards, deputy ministers and permanent secretaries from committee member ministries briefed ongo­ing projects by ministry. The Union Minister for Foreign Affairs said to make further close cooperation among relevant ministries for effective ground works, receiving necessary assistances for Rakhine from UN agencies and international organizations.
