Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Visits Exhibition of Eastern Economic Forum-2022, and Holds Talks with Officials from Rosatom State Corporations

       The seventh Eastern Economic Forum-2022 was launched at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok of the Russian Federation on 5 September with organizing discussions, signing the memorandums of understanding and holding interviews in addition to displaying the sector-wise booths.

      The delegation led by the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation, visited the booths of the RZD Russian Railways, the Rus Hydro Hydroelectric power generation company for generating electricity, the VEB.RF Investment company for monetary investment and the Aeroflot Airline displayed at the exhibition in the Eastern Economic Forum-2022, respectively. Meanwhile, the respective booth in-charges explained functions and situations of cooperation to the Prime Minister and party. After hearing the explanations, the Prime Minister and party raised questions about what they wanted to know.

      Next, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister and party received the members led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Alexey Evgenievich Likhachev of Rosatom State Corporations owned by Russia on FEFU Campus and discussed with them as follows:

  • Chances for observing experiences and technologies in the nuclear energy technological cooperation arena, and cooperation in the sectors beneficial for peoples of both countries.
  • Plan to adopt the roadmap for cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy for the socioeconomic development of citizens.
  • Utilization of nuclear energy in conducting tests of science and research, manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, industrial and all sectors including generating electricity.

     After the meeting, the MoU signing ceremony on further plans between the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Electric Power of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Russian State-owned Rosatom State Corporations followed. CEO of Rosatom State Corporations, and Union Minister for Science and Technology and Union Minister for Electric Power signed the MoU respectively in the presence of the Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
