The high-level delegation led by the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation, visited the Medical School and the Medical Centre of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok on 5 September.
The high-level delegation led by the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister visited the following places:
- On arrival at the Medical School, they were welcomed by Vice-President of the Medical Affairs of the FEFU Dr. Oleg I. Pak and members. Then, at the hall of the university, responsible personnel explained the matters relating to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses to regional and international students, providing medical care at 250-bed treatment centre affiliated with the university, the purpose of the school to turn out outstanding human resources for the country, andappointment of tutors and demonstrators among outstanding students. Moreover, students from 46 countries are studying at the university and responsible personnel said that students from Myanmar will be admitted if they are sent to the university.
- After hearing explanations by responsible personnel, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister asked detailed questions about the selection criteria for sending students to study at the university, attending advanced medical courses and the opportunities of postgraduate students can get if they attend. Next, Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win discussed the matters relating to sending postgraduate students and medical science cooperation between medical universities and between hospitals.
- Next, on arrival at the Medical Centre, they heard the explanations about the undertakings of the Medical Centre presented by Director-General Professor Dr. Igor S. Bryukhovetskiy of Medical Centre. Later, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister asked questions about all he wondered.
Finally, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister gave souvenirs to the Vice-President of the Medical Affairs of FEFU and the Director-General of the Medical Centre, it is reported.
