KKO (Splinter Group) and PDF Terrorists Sneakily Fire at Electrical Workers Repairing for the Damage of Transmission Tower in Kawkareik Township

Electrical workers are attempting to conduct repair works to be able to restore power in some townships of Kayin state because KKO (Splinter Group) and PDF terrorists carried out bomb attacks on two electricity pylons at Kawnwe village of Kawkareik township on 20 August. While they were conducting repair works for 230 KV of No.172 pylon connecting power line of Bago-Kamanik-Sittaung-Thaton-Mawlamyine-Kyondoe-Kyarinnseikgyi-Phayathonezu- Kawkareik- Thingan Nyinaung- Myawady, the terrorists sneakily fired at them with RPG, 40 mm grenade launchers, sniper guns and small arms, leaving two workers dead and three injured.

Terrorist extremists are carrying out sabotages in various ways. The general public does not support and accept their acts of terrorism at all as terrorists usually made targeted attacks on property, lives and interests of people.

It is reported that security force members are conducting necessary measures to combat the KKO (Splinter Group) and PDF terrorists who fired at the innocent workers, and undertaking necessary security tasks.
