The third monsoon tree-planting ceremony (2022) of families of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services (Army, Navy and Air) was held near the Yezin Dam in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on 22 August. The Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony by planting a precious teak seedling.
The Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife planted precious teak seedlings on the occasion. The Vice-Chairman of SAC Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) and wife, Union Ministers and wives, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and wives and participating officers and other ranks and families also planted seedlings at designated places.
At the third monsoon tree-planting ceremony, a total of 4,304 seedlings, including 2,152 precious teak seedlings, 1,076 Gum Kino seedlings, 807 shady and windbreak Manjansha seedlings, 269 Burmese rosewood seedlings were planted. From 2011 to the third monsoon tree-planting ceremony 2022, the families of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) planted a total of 181,357 trees, including precious trees, perennial trees and shady and windbreak trees have been planted to protect and conserve the environment and ecosystem around the Yezin Dam.
Similarly, monsoon tree-planting ceremonies were held in respective military commands, and the regional military commanders and officials planted 226,366 seedlings, including precious trees, industrial crops, perennial trees and shady and windbreak trees. Including 4,304 seedlings that were planted in the compound of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) today, totaling 230,670 seedlings were planted by the Tatmadaw families.
