On 26 July, around 300 PDF terrorists attacked Tatkone village in Pauk Township firing small arms and improvised mortar and then set fire to the houses in the village. According to the information, combined force comprising security force members went there to control the situation. When the combined forces arrived the village, they got stealthily attacked by terrorists. As the combined forces countered their attacks for self-defence, the terrorists fled towards San Yay Khon village.
When security force members arrived Tatkone village, the fire outbreak triggered by terrorists destroyed 41 houses already and seven locals - U San Min Aung, 33, U Tin Maung Win, 37, and Daw Khin Myint Soe were found dead with gunshot injuries and U Win Aye, 35, and his wife, Daw Khine Hnin Kyi, 34, and their 12-year-old daughter Ma Thone Nadi Moe and 7-year-old daughter Nyan Lin Aung were found dead with burning injuries. Another local call Pyae Sone Aung, 21 was found with an injury on his right ear.
The terrorists of extremism with the intents to paralyze the government administration mechanism and disrupt the State’s peace and stability, are committing inhumane and heinous crimes of terrorist attacks such as arsons and firing small/ heavy arms to community areas using leading to senseless destruction of innocent lives and property.
It is reported that necessary investigations are carried out to arrest and take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who burnt down public houses and killed innocent civilians.
