Fishery Products from Three Districts of Taninthayi Region Exported to Foreign Countries Through Five Trading Routes

Fishes, shrimps and other fishery products from three districts of Taninthayi region have been daily exported to foreign countries through five trading routes.

· Fishes, shrimps and other fishery products from the seas in Dawe, Myeik and Kawthaung districts have been directly exported to foreign countries through sea-borne trade.

· Moreover, the products are also being transported to Yangon City through waterways and motorways and then exported to foreign countries.

Regarding the export of fishery products from Taninthayi region, over 55,000 tonnes of other fishery products were exported within two months from 1 October to 30 November of 2021-2022 Fiscal Year earning $62.53 million. The annual exports of fishery products per FY are: 302,701 tonnes of fishery products - earning $284.16 million in 2018-2019 FY; 328,100 tonnes of fishery products - earning $348.09 million in 2019-2020 FY; and 312.880.667 tonnes of fishery products - earning $312.6 million in 2020-2021 FY respectively.
