COVID-19 Prevention, Control, and Treatment Activities Continue in Respective Regions and States

COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities such as opening quarantine centres and vaccinating people against COVID-19 continue in respective regions and states:

· The vaccination processes continue in respective regions and states as per the priority programme, and a total of 135,345 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as second dose and 49,966 people as first dose on 30 December.

· A total of 5,988 students aged 12 years and above from Basic Education Middle and High schools in respective regions and states have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as second dose and 5,669 students as first dose on 30 December. A total of 1,492,159 students have been vaccinated against COVID-19 till 30 December.

As a receipt of the fund on the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines:

· The Fund Management Sub-committee on the Purchase of COVID-19 Vaccines had released a statement that the close balance of Myanmar currency account OA-013733 is Kyat 166,117,410,142.53 and the close balance of foreign currency   account EDC-600012 is $24,137,349.53.

The Ministry of Health is conducting COVID-19 tests regularly, and 369 new cases of COVID-19 were found from testing a total of 11,461 samples and the infected rates are 3.22 percent on 30 December. Till 30 December 2021, a total of 530,645 cases were found from testing a total of 6,029,936 samples and death toll reached 19,265.
