The delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Russian Federation, accompanied by Military Attaché Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw and officials, arrived at Kazan airport in Kazan, the Republic of the Tatarstan on 13 July and was warmly welcomed by President of Tatarstan Mr.Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov and officials in accord with the traditions and culture.
The Senior General and the Tatarstan President introduced their delegation members to each other at the parlour of the office. Then they held a meeting with the participation of the delegation members. During the meeting, views on promotion of Russian-Myanmar relations and friendship, Tatarstan President’s discussions on economic cooperation during his visit to Myanmar in April this year, increase in trade and investments to enhance bilateral relations, cooperation in oil and gas production, setting up of factories, installation and maintenance of machines, and cooperation in industrial development and other sectors including health, education and economic sectors were exchanged in a cordial atmosphere.
After the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a dinner in honour of the Senior General and delegation.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and military and civilian officials of the delegation, Myanmar Ambassador U Lwin Oo, Military Attaché Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw and officials. The Tatarstan President was accompanied by ministers and officials of economic cooperation sector, it is reported.
