Peace and stability has been restored in that area since 28 December after security forces have controlled the area. As security forces made re-invitation to the fled innocent civilians, using loudspeakers in Kayin and Myanmar languages and negotiated necessary measures between Thai and Myanmar border committees, a total of 4,388 displaced people; 2,076 males and 2312 females who lived in Ingyin Myaing, Min Let Pan, Mae Htaw Tha Lay and Myitta Lin Myaing villages, returned to their respective areas on 29 and 30 December.
Officials received the returnees systematically and the healthcare officials from relevant public hospitals and members of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps systematically carried out the efforts of testing COVID-19 pandemic and providing quarantine entry documents to returnees, explaining the instructions released by Ministry of Health. It is reported that the coordination was made between officials from the Military Command and from the relevant departments to fulfill the healthcare requirements and other ones for returnees.
