PDF Terrorists Make Disruptive Acts against Education Sector Development to Create Uneducated Classes in Society

On the course of utter devastation of the Nation by the NUG group, PDF terrorists are carrying out attacks particularly targeting on schools and universities, key infrastructures of the education sector as they are not willing to see opening of schools.

  • On July 10, terrorists entered the campus of No. (4) Basic Education High School in Hakha township of Chin state and destroyed the school buildings and materials inside, leaving 185 window glasses in the five buildings, one main door, one storage room for question papers, one copier-machine in the principal's office; two CCTV cameras, a sofa and two tables (worth K1,607,500 in total) damaged and destroyed.
  • On the same day, terrorists threw a grenade into the campus of the University of Foreign Languages in Aung Myay Thar San township of Mandalay region and it exploded near the gate and leaving window glasses scattered.

It is reported that PDF terrorists are committing IED attacks and setting fire on schools to prevent students from studying peacefully. As of 12 July, there were 137 arson attacks and 399 bombing attacks. These acts of terrorism are not acceptable to the public and are being condemned.

It is reported that the security forces are continuing to identify and arrest those involved in the incident and take effective action in accordance with the law.
