The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Special Envoy of the ASEAN chair on Myanmar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 30 June.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the following points:
- The implementation of the five-point ASEAN consensus and progress.
- Deaths of members of the Sangha, novices, innocent people, teachers, service personnel and security members due to terrorist attacks and killing of so-called PDF terrorists who were born of NUG and CRPH, and damage of public and State-owned buildings in bomb blasts and the outbreak of fires committed by those PDFs.
- Efforts being made for the elimination of terrorism, the reopening of schools, the progress of holding peace talks with ethnic armed organizations for the restoration of perpetual peace.
- Efforts for taking humanitarian aid for people of Myanmar, and the implementation of Myanmar’s policy: “nothing is of importance than human life” like the ASEAN’s policy related to the humanitarian aid: “no one will be left behind.”
Also present at the meeting together with the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister were Joint Secretary of the Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin and U Ko Ko Hlaing, and officials. The Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was accompanied by ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General H.E. Mr Ekkaphab Phanthavong, Cambodian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr Chhouk Bunna and officials.
