PDF Members with no Crime Records Returning Legal Fold Entrusted to the Care of their Parents

The ceremonies of entrusting PDF members, who completed trainings in the areas of some EAOs and returned to legal fold without committing any crime, to their respective parents were held on 20 June. The officials from the regional governments provided cash assistance to three male PDF members from Salin township of Magway region and six male PDF members from Taungoo township of Bago region. They were entrusted to the care of their parents and guardians.

At present, the State’s Government has released an announcement stating that organizations or groups including PDF are welcomed if they want to enter the legal fold for their normal civilian lives by surrendering their weapons following rules and regulations to participate in future work plans of the country. As of 20 June 2022, it is reported that 66 people in total have already returned to legal fold including five in Yangon region, 24 in Mandalay region, 13 in Magway region, seven in Sagaing region, 11 in Ayeyarwady region, six in Bago region.
