The Ministry of Science and Technology of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam hosted 19th ASEAN ministerial meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation via videoconferencing on 16 June and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw attended the meeting and delivered the speech as follows:
- Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) is an important part of promoting economic development and promoting stability and integration in the ASEAN region.
- Science, technology and innovation (STI) play an important role in supporting the digital transformation and success of the Sustainable Development Goals-SDGs.
- Myanmar is emphasizing the Government-private cooperation on the ASEAN Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (2016-2025), capacity building, and scientific and technological innovation.
At the meeting, the ASEAN Ministers of Science and Technology reportedly discussed the ways to enhance cooperation in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for the development of a prosperous and sustainable STI in the ASEAN region.
