Recuse Activities Carried out to Save the Crews of a Motor Boat Sinking in Myanmar Sea

 

Security personnel doing their duties in Cocokyun township of Yangon region found a small wooden boat floating near the northern coast of Coco islands in the evening of 10 June. When they inspected the boat, U Soe Paing together with six other crew members living in Kone Gyi village, Pyinsalu township of Ayeyarwady region were found and rescued.

According to the accounts of the people on the boat, it was found that they left Pyinsalu township by a motor-boat for fishing in Myanmar sea on 20 April. On 4 June, it sank near Preparis island due to the bad weather condition and they were floating near Coco islands.

It is reported that necessary recuse activities were carried out for the seven crew members floating with the boat. The rescued victims took necessary medical check-ups at Cocokyun township public hospital.
