Information Team of State Administration Council Holds 15th Press Conference

 

The Information Team of the State Administration Council (SAC) the 15th Press Conference at the Ministry of Information on 1 June. The conference was attended by the leader of the Information Team of the SAC Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, member of the Union Election Commission (UEC) U Khin Maung Oo, members of the SAC Information Team, representatives of respective ministries, officials of the Tatmadaw True News Information Team, invitees, and reporters of local news agencies, newspapers, local TV channels, locally based foreign news agencies.

During the press conference, the leader of the SAC information team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun explained the following points:

  • The efforts of Tatmadaw for peace by joining hands with governments in successive eras and ethnic people, facts contained in the nationwide ceasefire agreement (NCA), Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) that signed the NCA, and the sectors approved during the successive governments and the remaining sectors to be discussed.
  • The matters relating to the meeting with two members of EAOs including leaders on the invitation of the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
  • The preparations and rescue ­activities for cyclones and natural disasters in monsoon, things to be aware of regarding the monkeypox, and the measures of government for every citizen not to lose their learning opportunities during the school enrollment week from 26 May to 1 June for the 2022-2023 academic year with PowerPoint presentations.

Afterwards, the UEC member U Khin Maung Oo explained the process of 2020 general election, action taken against persons involved in vote rigging and unlawful acts, and future tasks of the UEC with the help of PowerPoint presentations.

Later, the leader of the SAC Information Team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, the UEC member U Khin Maung Oo, and representatives of the information teams of relevant departments responded to the questions raised by the media outlets. Finally, the press conference came to an end.

  • Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun explained about the peace issues, preparations for cyclones, and the measures of government for every citizen not to lose their learning opportunities at the 15th Press Coneference.
