Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Inspects Agriculture and Livestock Farm of Yangon Command

 

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by entourages, Chief Minister of Yangon Region and responsible officials, arrived at No.1 Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Farm of the Yangon Region Command and inspected the cultivations of vegetables, and mushrooms and production of eggs reported by responsible officials.

After hearing the reports, the Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services stressed the following points:

  • Multiple agriculture and livestock in the area of Yangon Command aim to supply meat, fish and vegetables sufficiently to some eight million people of Yangon Region at reasonable prices.

  • It will be benefitted that products must be sold not only to Tatmadaw members but also to service personnel and public at fair price which is cheaper than market price. Emphasis must be placed on welfare for consumers but for not profits.

  • It is necessary to produce healthy products on livestock farms through coordination with the veterinary research teams.

  • If it is local food sufficiency, continuous efforts must be made for exporting frozen meat and fish, dried meat and value-added products to foreign markets.

The Chairman of the SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party inspected the agriculture and livestock farm and attended to the needs of the farms reported by responsible officers.
