The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing invited Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) for peace talks, aiming to restore perpetual peace covering the whole country and end armed conflicts across the nation.At the invitation, a peace delegation led by Chairman Saw Htaw Lay of KNU/KNLA-PC arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on 25 May.The committee members and officials of National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee and ethnic people of the Cultural Department welcomed them.
When the delegation arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by vehicles, local residents holding Myanmar miniature flags and signboards bearing “Achieving perpetual peace is the genuine desire of the people”, “Achieving peace is the genuine desire of all citizens”, “Let’s hold talks for peace in the Union”, “Only when ethnic nationals are in unity, stability, peace and tranquillity can be restored,” it is reported.
