The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team onboard provided healthcare services to local people living in Bokepyin township of Tanintharyi region on 22 and 23 May. The 1,915 local patients in total including 682 patients who need medical treatments, 226 patients who need surgical operations, 190 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 176 patients with pediatric diseases, 180 orthopedic diseases, 161 patients with ENT related diseases, 157 patients with eye diseases and 143 patients with dental and oral diseases were given medical treatment.
Moreover, the medics conducted operations on 81 patients who need to perform general surgery and 42 patients who need to perform eye surgery. Moreover, diagnoses and treatments were also provided to 132 patients who need to take X-ray scans, 106 ultrasound scanning patients, 149 cardiologic patients undergoing ECG procedures, 355 patients who need to receive laboratory tests and 3 patients who need to receive computerized pathology tests.
