Train Services Extended to Ensure Smooth Commuting of Students and Locals

 

As the University of Computer Studies (Sittwe), University of Sittwe and Technological University in Sittwe Township are reopening as per the designated academic year starting from 12 May, the students are now peacefully attending at the respective Universities.

In order to ensure the smooth commuting of students who are attending at respective Universities and local people, plans are underway to extend the current railway services of Pyitawtha-Bumay-Yechanpyin routes. Moreover, three RBE trains transported by Myanmar Railways from Yangon on 16 May arrived at Sittwe Township on 20 May.

The Chief Minister of Rakhine State and Commander of Western Command inspected those trains and heard the reports on plans of train services presented by relevant officials.

  • In order to ensure the smooth attendance of students and transportation of local people, three RBE trains arrived in Sittwe Township on 20 May.
