A Myanmar delegation led by Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar U Than Nyein attended the 50th Board of Directors’ Meeting of Asian Clearing Union (ACU) held on 12 and 13 May in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The meeting focused on issues related to economic development and prospects of the ACU member countries, further improvement of transnational payments innovation, implementation of local currency payments among the ACU countries and further enhancement of the ACU system.
The meeting was attended by delegates from nine ACU member countries: India, Pakistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan and the Maldives.
